Happy Valentine’s day! I think making posts when days like these come is a cool idea, cause people are talking about these things, but the thing is I’ve never had a boyfriend lol

Therefore I don’t know what to do in this day, nor do I know anything about relationships, nor am I happy with love and crushes and argh… I’m a little tired of having crushes on people that don’t like you back, it’s tiring.

So today, let’s just discuss an aspect of love that we all know about and talk about every once in a while… yeah, love at first sight. *sarcastic “whohooo”*

First, let’s analyse what it means… To me it means falling in love with someone by just having seen them for the first time, right? Let’s see what google says:

So I thought it was “love”, and then this definition said “attraction”. But then I’m sure there’ll be definitions everywhere defining it another way, that’s ok, but we’ll stick to this one.

Anyway…

This is often said in movies, especially in Disney movies and corny stuff like that for kids, right? I’m not the kinda person that’s corny like that, you know? But I still may say corny things, but I just say them when I feel like they’re true, do you know what I mean?

I don’t wanna go like: awwww love is beautiful and full of joy and all… I think it’s beautiful, but it also hurts like a you know what, right? I think most people can agree with me.

Now to the question…

Does love at first sight exist in my opinion?

I don’t think it exists. However, if we’re talking about “attraction”, like it says in that definition, I’d say yes. Cause by looks I think you can instantly be attracted to someone, more or less, but I think it’s a thing.

But to me, love is a very strong word, you know? Like, I’ve had a crush on a teacher for 4 years and it took me like 3 years or something to be sure, if that makes sense, that I was truly in love, more than just a crush, you know?

Cause love means a lot more than just looks, or attraction or stuff like that, it’s actually caring, missing their company, liking their personality and how they act towards others, especially you, right?

So I think love at first sight doesn’t exist. Attraction yes. But I think love is something you develop with time. It may take more, it may take less… but it takes more than just a second, right?

It’s a complicated thing.

And if it existed, I think it’d be impossible to be mutual. Because if there’s like 0.0000000001% chance that can happen to you (let’s say), it’d be, I think, impossible that it happened to 2 people, and to each other. Like what? That would have to be a miracle, or planned by god or something. But we’re not gonna go into beliefs cause please no.

I mean, just cause I don’t believe in it doesn’t mean I wouldn’t like it to happen. I mean, not that I’d like it to happen, but it wouldn’t be a bad thing… right? I don’t know.

But I think that to love someone, you have to get to know the person, cause otherwise it makes no sense and it’s less fun, in my opinion.

Conclusion:

I think love at first sigh doesn’t exist, cause love takes time
In the super rare situation that it existed, I think reciproque love at first sight is impossible, I think it’d be 1.000.000.000 times more impossible, it we could give it a number
I think it’s necessary to get to know the person before really falling in love
