The Truth About The Last School Day Before Holidays

The Truth About The Last School Day Before Holidays

Greetings peeps!

I hope you’re having a great day!!!! I hope you’re as excited for Christmas Day as I am!! So yesterday was my last school day and now I’m free… to do a hole bunch of homework… argh

But today we’re not here to talk about homework, today we’re here to talk about the last day of school, because we all know what happens, it’s not as fancy as it could be.

But maybe it’s not the same to everyone, so I’m here to see if y’all relate, idk

DISCLAIMER:

This is no one’s fault. I’m not saying this is teachers’ fault, if it were someone’s fault, it’d be everyone’s. I didn’t make this post thinking of anyone in particular nor this is intended to offend anyone. I have respect for my teachers and fellow students *the last one was a lie, wait what?😅*

The Truth About The Last Day Before Holidays:

Ok so apart from the fact that we do nothing, there’s other factors.

In the school I am right now, we don’t have like special events for Christmas, like going to the assembly hall and have the students play songs or making a sh*tty contest of like postcards or mini stories or anything like that.

I actually don’t have a problem with that. Like, if we do nothing festive for Xmas, I’d honestly sleep just as good, you know? Don’t get me wrong, I really appreciate the effort that teachers put when they try to put together all these things to entertain all those little @$$holes we call students without even getting a dime for it, right?Resultado de imagen de oops gif

Anyway, this post isn’t about the activities we have pre-xmas or anything, this is about when we’re in class.

So we usually have finished everything we need to do in each subject, and because no one wants to start seeing the new unit, the teachers obey like freaking sheep *sigh* as if they didn’t have authority or something.

And because we’re doing nothing school related, we don’t know what to do. Some talk to each other or just grab their phones without the teacher looking *or pretending they’re not looking*Imagen relacionada

Sometimes teachers get prepared and bring a movie so we’re entertained and most importantly quiet 😂😂 that’s a good idea.

In case we do nothing, like the other case, I usually bring a book, or the notebook in which I practice writing with my left hand, or my blogging notebook, to make brainstormings and schedules…

It is SO BORINGResultado de imagen de bored gif

Like honestly, some people don’t even come to school that day. But dude, that’s not the best thing to do, cause you gotta go, but being there is also breaking boring, and I would even say a waste of time, of course, if you had anything more productive to do… I’m saying this because you could be on your computer doing a project, making blogposts, searching educational stuff on the internet…

Cause honestly, yesterday we were like 6 out of 19 in my class, 5 out of 15 in another class, and the other 2 classes I have no idea. We were bored af. I mean, we played a game or two, watched a movie, we were in the computers room doing our thing in one class…

This is what I hate about it, we have to go to school because it’s mandatory, but also we do nothing and it makes peeps believe they’re allowed not to come or something.

Or they just skip school cause “that’s  super cool”Imagen relacionada

Like, if we really have nothing to do and even teachers make faces like: argh what is life?, then why don’t they go like, you’re allowed not to come, cause sh*t’s over. And if they really obly us to come, then we should do something like idk, the things we do in class or something. Or I don’t know, make a mandatory activity.

It’s a hard balance, and also law is involved

Conclusions:

I think if it’s compulsory to go to school on the last days, at least there should be something to do for those situations in order not to be there looking at the ceiling like idiots and to make kids not skip those days. That’s my opinion. Teachers should do like meetings to reach an agreement.

  1. GURL I TOTALLY AGREE!! It’s. so. boring. Back in the day, when I used to have friends in all my classes, we’d do secret santa and just talk but in like half my courses this semester – I have 0 friendsss. Like ?? People brought in chips and stuff but it was the lamest thing ever and everyone just played kahoot like ?! They had an assembly but my brother said we can just leave early so aye at least it was a short day but like come on, we should do something productive instead of just letting the kids do whatever. I’m glad we have winter breakkk but ugh we have so many assignments after and FINAL EXAMS – let’s not think about that xD. Great post!

  2. I had frees on the last day at school so I just spent my lessons talking with friends. On the run up to the last day, I don’t mind doing quizzes or watching films instead or just talking with teachers. I think everyone in my year just lost all their energy after our mock exams 😂

  4. OMG, from my secondary school, this is so so true! I’m at College now though, and because it’s a college where people live during the term, we always have a travel day on the last day of term so people have time to travel back home. Even with that though, the last week was pretty relaxed: we had a Xmas Factor, some Christmas-related lessons, and some lessons just watching comedy or whatever. I quite liked it though to be fair — it’s a good way to unwind before the Christmas break.
